Connect ReturnGo

Last updated: March 17, 2026

Connect your agent to ReturnGo to enable your agent to fetch, flag and initiate returns.

Setup

Step 1

ReturnGo Authentication is based on API keys usage against the REST API.

The first step is for you to generate said API Key. To do so, see this document created by ReturnGo: Creating API Keys.

Assigning a descriptive name to your API key inside ReturnGo (in this case Engaige) facilitates easier identification of the API key associated with each provider.

Step 2

Once you have created your API key, log in to your Engaige dashboard and navigate to the Settings section.

  1. From there, click on the Integrations section.

  2. Click on the ReturnGo integration Enabled button. If the ReturnGo integration is not visible, use the search bar at the top right of the page to locate the integration searching for 'ReturnGo' .

  3. Once this is completed, Paste your shop identifier and api key in the form.

  4. To finalize the setup, click the Enable button.

You are now all done: your ReturnGo account is now linked to Engaige 🚀.

Actions

Enabling the ReturnGo integration allows you to unlock new actions for your agent. In the Actions view, use the search bar at the top right and search for 'ReturnGo' to display all related actions.

Get Customer Returns

Functionality: This action empowers the agent to retrieve all returns (RMAs) associated with a customer using their webshop customer ID. For Shopify, this is the numeric ID from the customer GID (e.g. 7654321 from gid://shopify/Customer/7654321). When 3 or fewer returns are found, full details are automatically fetched for each return. For larger result sets, the agent receives a summary list and can retrieve individual details as needed.

Data Visibility: Upon successful retrieval, the agent can access:

  • Return Status: Current status of each RMA (e.g. Pending, Approved).

  • Itemization: A list of returned products including SKU, variant, pricing, and resolution type.

  • Shipment Tracking: Carrier name, tracking number, tracking URL, and label URL for each shipment.

  • Customer Feedback: The stated return reason, extended reason, and follow-up question answers from the return form.

  • Financials: Transaction details including refund amounts, restocking fees, return fees, and exchange order information.

Get Return Details

Functionality: This action empowers the agent to retrieve the full details of a single return (RMA) from ReturnGO using its RMA ID (e.g. 1234 for RMA1234). This is typically used as a follow-up when the Get Customer Returns action returns more than 3 results and the agent needs to drill into a specific return.

Data Visibility: Upon successful retrieval, the agent can access:

  • Return Status: Current status and full event history of the RMA, including who triggered each event and when.

  • Itemization: Detailed product information including SKU, barcode, variant, paid price, tax, and item validation status (restockable, returned, validated by).

  • Shipment Tracking: Full shipment details including carrier, service level, tracking number, tracking URL, label URL, and both customer and return addresses.

  • Customer Feedback: Return reasons, exchange item selections, and follow-up question answers.

  • Financials: Complete transaction history with refund method, amounts, processor, status, and bank account details where applicable.

  • Exchange Orders: Associated draft and completed exchange orders with item-level pricing breakdowns.

  • Comments: Merchant and customer comments with timestamps.
